Dr. Weineng Xu focuses his academic research on the impact of social networks on corporate governance and corporate decision-making. He also employs experimental finance methods to study economic phenomena such as asset bubbles and investor behavior. His work has been published in journals including the Journal of Behavioral Finance, Journal of Financial Research, and Journal of Economic Education, and he has presented at leading international conferences such as FMA, EFA, MFA, and SWFA.Professor Xu previously taught at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and worked at the University of Cincinnati Economics Center, where he conducted research and consulting on regional economic impact and economic policy effects. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from East China Normal University, his Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Cincinnati, and his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Arkansas.Professor Xu has taught courses including Engineering Economics, Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, Business Finance, Personal Financial Planning, Principles of Finance, and Data Analysis and Interpretation.
