Liwen CHEN is an assistant professor at Faculty of Economics and Management, ECNU.

 Dr. Chen received her PhD. degree in Economics at Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. She also holds a B.A and B.S degree at School of Labor and Human Resource Management at Renmin University of China.

Her fields of interest center in Applied Microeconomics, Labor economics, Industrial Relations, as well as Game Theory and Experimental Economics.

Her current research encompasses the following areas: (1) multi-dimensional skill mismatch and career outcomes, (2) gender differences in labor market outcomes, (3) workplace employee participation and industrial democracy in China, and (4) competition on local public goods provision. Her recent research has been published in journals such as Industrial and Labor Relation Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Journal of Labor Research.  Her work has also been presented at LERA@AEA/ASSA Meeting (2018, 2020).
