On the afternoon of May 5th, David KIMELFELD, presidentof Lyon Metropolis visited the Asia Europe Business School (AEBS), jointly founded by East China Normal University (ECNU), and emlyon business school of France, to exchange ideas on educational cooperation between the two institutions of China and France. June 24th will be the third anniversary since the two institutions have signed the master agreement to establish the Asia Europe Business School jointly. During the short period before the third anniversary, and with the recent substantial progress made by AEBS in their pedagogic programs, innovation and entrepreneurship education, the visit of David KIMELFELD holds a special meaning to promoting joint innovation for China-France education.

Under the presidency of David Kimelfeld, Tong Shijun, Chair of the University Council of ECNU and Khaled BOUABDALLAH, President of Lyon Metropolis, renewed the cooperation agreement, marking that two universities will further deepen and enhance their cooperation, to foster more high-level talents for both China and France.

After the renewal ceremony, to further increase exchanges between Chinese and French students and achieve internationalization of classroom teaching and personnel training, AEBS held interactive activities between students of the two countries. Huang Jiaqi and Huang Jiacheng, two undergraduate representatives from AEBS BBA program talked about their experience in AEBS and vision for future study in France. Following this, emlyon ACS Program student representatives Adnane Balkoumi and Khalil Benjelloun Touimi shared their experience of study at emlyon. They also expressed their gratitude and opportunity to be able to study in China.
Starting in the fall semester of 2018, over 20 sophomores from emlyon are expected to attend classes containing both Chinese and French students at AEBS for one year or one semester. More than 20 sophomores from AEBS will go to emlyon for “2+2” double degrees in the next semester. These exchanges will provide new opportunities and ideas for AEBS to deepen the internationalization of undergraduate teaching.

Before the meeting, Mr. Chen Jianyu, AnyHelper CEO shared his ideas about innovation and business starting with all students and teachers on the site. The visit to AEBS by David KIMELFELD has further pointed the direction for AEBS to explore a mode for internationalized innovation education.
