Time:2024-01-31设置

To further promote academic excellence, achieve the goal of cultivating outstanding talents, and establish a research and education atmosphere oriented towards excellence and common progress of academic teams and students, the ECNU Sci-Tech Business Consortium officially launched the Excellent Academic Teacher-Student Joint Funding Program (hereinafter referred to as the "Mentorship" program) on May 16, 2023. The main goal of the program is to guide students to establish a long-term development goal of pursuing excellence, enhance their competitiveness through scientific research, and help them complete master's and doctoral degrees at world-class universities. On June 14, 2023, the "Mentorship system" mentor-student meeting was successfully held. A total of six mentors and 14 students participated in the first round, including 10 undergraduate students (including 2 international students) and 4 postgraduate students. A series of reports on the research progress of each project are now being launched to showcase the joint academic cultivation achievements of them and improve the quality of talent cultivation.

Main research scope

To ensure team collaboration and efficiency, the “Mentorship system “program adopts a two-way selection approach. Professor Liu and the students had a face-to-face introduction and communication before the program started, and chose each other through resumes and personal statements.

Under the guidance of Professor Liu Du, a cross level research team consisting of junior, and senior undergraduate students, and first-year Postgraduate students is actively conducting machine learning based green innovation research. This program has built an efficient and collaborative mentorship through a two-way selection approach, providing a solid foundation for in-depth research.

The research concentration of the group is to analyze green innovation technologies based on patents and provide suggestions for the company's green innovation management. This field covers finance, management, and green innovation technologies, utilizing technologies such as generative artificial intelligence and big data text analysis to provide unique insights and solutions to address major issues facing today's society.

Important activities carried out

In the early stages of program initiation, the team has held a series of discussions and seminars to determine the general direction, ideas, and plans for the research. This helps promote students to have a deeper understanding of the research direction, share personal insights, and form a collective research approach. The students actively participated in and organized their own seminars, demonstrating a strong teamwork spirit and actively promoting project progress.

1.Program launch ceremony: To officially launch the green innovation management research program, the research group held a launch ceremony. At the ceremony, Professor Liu introduced the background, goals, and expectations of the program for the students, while each team member shared their enthusiasm and expectations for the program

2. Seminar Series: The research team has held multiple seminars in the early stages of the program, aiming to promote team members' comprehensive understanding of the research field of green innovation management. These seminars include literature reviews, research methods, cutting-edge technologies, and more. Through academic exchanges, team members discuss the research concentration and key issues of the program together.

3. Team Discussion Meetings: The research group regularly holds team discussion meetings to conduct in-depth discussions on the ideas, research methods, data analysis, and other issues of the paper, promote interaction and cooperation among team members, and promote deeper development of research concentration.

At present, the program is in the early stages of research, and members are conducting in-depth literature reviews and data collection, committed to comprehensively understanding the cutting-edge research and existing problems in the field of green innovation. On the basis of comprehensive discussion and further exploration, the research group has gradually clarified the research topic and questions. We plan to complete the writing of our first working paper and submit it to the conference in the first quarter of next year.
