On November 8, the 29th Dean's Luncheon of Asia Europe Business School of East China Normal University was successfully held in Conference Room 105, Asia Europe Building, Zizhu International Education Park. The activity aims to build a platform for communication between teachers and students, enhance the friendship between teachers and students of the college, understand the students' demands and help them develop in an all-round way.
Professor He Jiaxun, Chinese Dean of Asia Europe Business School, and Counselor Zhong Weibo, Undergraduate representatives Liu Xin, Ye Yang, and Yan Shiyu; Representatives of postgraduate students Song Xin, Liu Chengcai and Qiao Tianqi; representatives of international students Maxwell Ziwa, Athirah Choo and Tian ke Li participated the meeting. At the beginning of the luncheon, Dean He Jiaxun warmly welcomed the arrival of the students, and help students to promote all-round development.Under the warm inspiration of Dean He Jiaxun, the students spoke up enthusiastically.
Firstly, as for the question posed by undergraduate students about how to feel the Sino-French innovation in their professional learning, Dean He Jiaxun pointed out that AEBS's all-English teaching provides a platform for students to build their international working ability. In addition, the curriculum of emLyon Business School in France focuses on practice, learning, and understanding by practicing. According to the learning characteristics of China and France, AEBS has constantly combined and adjusted the training program and has made localization reconstruction to create an international training program suitable for students. Meanwhile, Dean He Jiaxun encouraged undergraduate students to make full use of the undergraduate teaching characteristics of AEBS to set up the ambition of continuing their further studies at an early stage, so as to lay a solid foundation for the diversified development of their careers in the future.
Subsequently, focusing on the topic of combination of majors and popular research directions (such as artificial intelligence) that undergraduate students care about, Dean He Jiaxun claims that the undergraduate BBA program of AEBS has its own characteristics in terms of curriculum, school running characteristics, academic activities, etc., and is closely integrated with high-tech. Additionally, AEBS implements the double mentor system, which provides each student with both an academic mentor and an enterprise mentor. Besides, the designated internship base of AEBS provides more opportunities for students to learn and practice, enabling their employment prospects to be brighter and broader.
Then, in response to the undergraduate students' inquiry about the requirements of the 2+2 Sino-France joint training program, Dean He Jiaxun encouraged the students to actively prepare for the English proficiency test, meet the course and language requirements and actively participate in the 2+2 joint training program. In addition, President He Jiaxun stressed the importance of social skills, encouraged students to communicate, improve their language communication ability and leadership, perceive different cultural characteristics, enrich their own multicultural experience, and improve their comprehensive ability.
Next, the counselor Zhong Weibo answered the questions about the master's program, doctoral program, the “4+1 master’s program” of international students, and the allocation of enterprise mentors.
