Over 100 students gathered on the lush lawn in front of the library at ECNU, and united to lift the large red drum, with a red ball bouncing on its surface. The drum's powerful sound echoed for a long time, resonating in the hearts of every AEBSer.
Freshmen from 36 countries around the world are building a global integration, and the meaning of a successful departure is highlighted.
On September 9th 141 new students of AEBS gathered on the lush lawn in front of the library at ECNU Minhang Campus for a one-day icebreaking event.
Under the bright red banner, teachers and volunteers harried about, preparing water supplies and team-building props, all set up under the shade of the trees, waiting for the new students to arrive on schedule.
The surprise of first meetings and the joy of conversations quickly helped students around the world "break the ice." Polite and open, they chatted freely, enjoying the happiness of newfound friendships.
Teacher Joey kicked things off with a fun and lively game that instantly brought the students closer together. High-fives, shoulder taps, and cheers filled the air as everyone became fully engaged, moving a step closer to one another.
Random fate grouped the students into 10 small teams, each sitting in a small discussion circle. They came up with team names, designed slogans, and finally turned their creative ideas into unique flags, which flew under the blue sky, showcasing the vibrant diversity of AEBSers.
In the team competitions that followed, a touch of competitive spirit added excitement to the icebreaker activities. The thrilling, nail-biting moments, the collective efforts to regroup and strategize, and the spirited relay cheers brought everyone closer as they worked together to achieve outstanding results for their teams.
To the new students of the Class of 2024, welcome to AEBS family! May you thrive in this international environment and embrace a future full of innovation and growth!
