Part II: Starting a New Chapter

for Student Clubs

What Is a Student Club?

A student club is an important platform for fostering well-rounded development and promoting quality education. It is a student-led organization formed on the basis of students’ interests, strengths, and developmental needs, through which they independently carry out various activities.

Why Start a New Club?

In university life, student clubs are important platforms for growth. Establishing a new club not only helps meet students’ diverse interests and needs and strengthens their sense of belonging, but also develops leadership and teamwork skills. More importantly, it brings together like-minded peers and injects fresh energy into campus life.

How Can You Establish a New Club?

*Requirements for Applying to Establish a Student Club:

(1) The club must be jointly initiated by at least five currently enrolled students of the university, including one proprietor, one vice proprietor, and one secretary-general (finance leading official). All initiators must hold official student status and must not have received disciplinary action from the university.

(2) The club must have a standardized name and an appropriate organizational structure, comply with laws and regulations, and must not violate campus civility or public morality.

(3) The club must have one faculty advisor, who may be a student counselor, a professor, or other teaching staff.

*Application Procedure for Establishing a Student Club:

(1) Contact the Club Development Department (Ruiyang, WeChat: H1453676800; Bea, WeChat: zengqiyue251) to obtain the registration form for establishing a new club and learn about the basic requirements.

(2) Complete and submit the application materials within the required time frame, ensuring that all information is complete and clear.

(3) After the preliminary review, the Club Development Department will arrange a review meeting, during which the club initiators will be asked to explain the purpose of the club, its activity plan, and its management structure.

(4) Once approved by the school, applicants will receive a formal notice from the Club Development Department regarding the review result and official registration. If needed, students may also contact the Club Development Department for support with recruitment activities or for further information.
