Time:2025-12-23设置

To further strengthen teacher-student communication and help students better plan their academic and career development, the 42th Dean’s Luncheon of Asia Europe Business School (AEBS) was successfully held on December 17, 2025, in Meeting Room 103, Building A1, Zizhu International Education Park. Student representatives from different grades gathered for lunch and engaged in in-depth discussions in a relaxed and open atmosphere with Dr. Xin, French Dean of AEBS & President of emlyon business school Asia Campus, as well as Ms. Huang Xinyi, Assistant to the President of emlyon business school, focusing on topics such as dual-degree programs and future development.

At the opening of the event, Dean Xin first shared his personal experiences and cross-cultural living background with the students, talking about his insights from studying and working in different countries. During the subsequent interactive session, the students raised questions primarily centered on pursuing dual-degree programs in France. In response to the question "What advice do you have for students about to pursue dual degrees in France?", Dean Xin encouraged everyone to actively integrate into the local society and fully experience French cuisine and lifestyle while diligently completing their academic studies. He emphasized that students should embrace cultural differences through both academic and daily life experiences, making their study-abroad journey a comprehensive process of personal growth.

When asked "How will two years of study and life in France benefit personal development?", Dean Xin pointed out that this experience will not only help broaden students' international horizons and deepen their understanding of diverse cultural contexts, but also enable them to explore career possibilities in a genuine cross-cultural environment. During their stay in France, students can explore various advantageous fields of emlyon business school based on their own interests, achieving an organic integration of professional learning and personal aspirations.

Regarding the students' concern about "the differences between the French dual-degree programs and domestic programs", Dean Xin introduced that the French programs cover multiple disciplines including supply chain management, digital marketing, and luxury brand management. The curriculum system maintains academic rigor while emphasizing integration with industrial practices, providing students with a broader platform for further studies or future employment.

When discussing the enhancement of employability for business school students, Dr. Xin particularly stressed the importance of identifying and developing personal core competencies at an early stage. He noted that career choices should be based not only on "what society needs" but also on "what one is truly good at". Only through continuous exploration to understand oneself and form unique strengths can students find a development path that highly aligns with their personal traits.

The Dean’s Luncheon concluded successfully in a relaxed and enlightening exchange. Through face-to-face communication, the students not only deepened their understanding of the school’s international programs and educational philosophy, but also gained a clearer vision for their future academic and career planning.
