AEBS Class | Advanced Math Workshop Was Successfully Held

Time:2025-11-26设置

With a focus on strengthening academic foundations for its new international students, the Asia Europe Business School recently organized a calculus sharing session. This initiative leveraged a platform of senior-peer and cross-cultural support to pave a smoother path for the 2025 cohort as they adapt to their university studies.

Advanced mathematics, a major academic obstacle for first-year students, was the main topic of the session. Zhou Xinyan, a second-year student, acted as the instructor. She deftly demystified abstract ideas using real-world analogies, making difficult mathematical concepts approachable and relatable. Participants were guided from basic concepts to broader formulas in a logically organized program. Students were able to strengthen their comprehension and close the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application through increasingly difficult interactive tasks like word problems and true/false questions.

The presenter paused after each module to encourage questions, keeping an eye on the learning process and pace throughout the entire session. This rhythm struck a compromise between the amount of information and enough time for digestion. Her thorough explanations addressed the students' last queries during the final Q&A period, which was especially engaging and successfully created a smooth learning cycle.

"I felt truly welcomed and supported throughout the exchange," shared one international freshman, capturing the overall sentiment. "The senior student broke down the concepts with great clarity, and the slides were perfectly focused. It made understanding the difficult parts much easier, and this collaborative model gives me a lot of confidence for my future studies." This feedback highlights the success of the session's supportive and detailed teaching approach.

This exchange session successfully implemented AEBS's peer-assisted learning paradigm in addition to being a knowledge-sharing session.  AEBS is committed to reproducing this kind of exchange, consistently concentrating on the actual needs of our student community to ensure everyone to have a fruitful and satisfying study experience.
