On December 14th, the meeting and appointment ceremony for the 2024 undergraduate and master's new enterprise mentors at the Asia Europe Business School of East China Normal University was held in Room 218, Wenfu Building, Zhongbei Campus.
This year, the Asia Europe Business School has hired a total of 28 enterprise mentors.
This year marks the eighth year of the Asia Europe Business School's implementation of the Enterprise Mentor Program. The school hopes to provide students with opportunities for close communication and learning with elites from various industries through this program, helping them establish career awareness early, clarify their future career development direction, and cultivate their professional skills; Give full play to the exemplary role of mentors, strengthen the interaction between colleges and enterprises, and cultivate and deliver outstanding talents for enterprises.
He Jiaxun, the Chinese dean of Asia Europe Business School, and 28 enterprise mentors from various industries such as artificial intelligence, information technology, marketing, integrated circuits, and consulting services, as well as Tang Xiaoying, the head of enterprise relations at the school, attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Khaing Thinzali Moe Yan Routong, a 2023 undergraduate student majoring in Business Administration.
At the beginning of the event, Dean He Jiaxun delivered a speech. He emphasized to adapt to the rapid development of the times and new changes, the school began a forward-looking cross education reform of "intelligent business" in early 2020, and has continuously made new progress in the past five years. This year, the school has launched a new "Introduction to AI Business" course for the 2024 freshmen. He emphasized that following the nature of business, practical knowledge is becoming increasingly important in the era of rapid change. He hopes that students will have two collaborative ways of thinking: from theory to practice, to enhance innovative thinking in exploring the value of knowledge creation; From practice to theory, enhance critical thinking that transforms textbook knowledge through practical application. Therefore, it is necessary to actively learn from corporate mentors. He also expressed his expectations to enterprise mentors, not only to guide students' professional practice, but also to empower students' lifelong career development.
In the upcoming appointment ceremony, Dean He Jiaxun presented certificates to the enterprise mentors and took a group photo.
Next, mentors from various industries such as biology, finance, and film and television took the stage to introduce themselves one by one. Their rich management experience, abundant entrepreneurial experience, outstanding professional ability, strong sense of corporate social responsibility, and excellent leadership deeply attracted the students and benefited greatly from them.
Finally, there is the most exciting mentor double selection session, where students actively communicate with their desired mentors, submit their resumes, and mentors also provide valuable votes to their classmates to form a coaching group. During this period, students and mentors had lively discussions on industry trends, future work, job search directions, and other topics, and gained a lot from them.
