AEBS Teaching and Research | 2024 Asia Europe Business School In-Company Consulting Project(ICP)Officially Launched

On March 21st, the 2022 Business Administration (China-France Innovation Experimental Class) ICP (In Company Consulting Project) at the Asia Europe Business School of East China Normal University was officially launched. This meeting was hosted by Assistant Professor Wu Yi. From Hisense Group, Jingteng Technology, Weekend Hotel, Safone, Fluffy Five corporate mentors from LFB and 44 students from the 2022 cohort participated in the project launch meeting. The launch ceremony of this project aims to officially announce and introduce various enterprises and their projects, and provide opportunities for students and business representatives to meet and discuss, laying a solid foundation for subsequent business practices.

The ICP (In Company Consulting Project) is a featured course in the Business Administration (Intelligent Business Laboratory) program at the Asia Europe Business School. The course design aims to create practical experiences for students in a real business environment. Students at the Asia Europe Business School use consulting projects as carriers and project teams as units, under the joint guidance of academic and corporate mentors, to apply their theoretical knowledge in real business environments and gain first-hand business experiences.

The Asia Europe Business School ICP is committed to creating a richer and more authentic business practice environment for students. The constituent enterprises of the project include not only private technology enterprises actively moving towards the international market, but also local life service start-ups based on the Internet, as well as established enterprises that have been deeply involved in the industry for many years and occupy a high market position. The project enterprise involves virtual reality, Internet technology, electronic information, tourism and other industries.


Through the ICP practical project, students will gain the following skills exercises:

Hosted by Wu Yi, Assistant Professor at Asia Europe Business School

At the beginning of the event, Ms. Wu Yi, on behalf of the college, warmly welcomed the arrival of all the mentors. She introduced the overview, significance and goals of the ICP project, the overall timeline, and the process and detailed arrangement of the meeting to the mentors and students.

Subsequently, each group of corporate mentors introduced the company overview and the intended issues to be addressed in this ICP project to the students.

Cheng Ling, the head of Jingteng Technology, introduced that this is a high-tech enterprise that focuses on mixed reality MR technology. As an officially certified Microsoft hybrid reality global technology partner service provider, based on digital presentation, interaction, and collaboration technology of hybrid reality, we provide hybrid reality digital solutions for industries such as industry, architecture, design, and healthcare, empowering the industry with new breakthroughs. The core team comes from leading companies in the industry such as Microsoft Technology Team, Microsoft Enterprise Service Support Team, and Kaijie Consulting. With years of experience in industry application research and development, we have provided mixed reality solutions for multiple listed companies and industry leaders. This project will explore the main application scenarios and core values of Apple Vision Pro in commercial customers through experience and analysis of its application, combined with artificial intelligence technology.

Aileen, the head of Safone, introduced that this brand takes "zero waste beauty" as its core concept, creating an "egg shaped" soap with solid soap and fragrance as the differentiation characteristics. It innovatively develops solid soap products, which are convenient for consumers to use and carry, and reduces water waste and carbon emissions in production and transportation. At the same time, it simplifies the product formula and transparent treatment, uses biodegradable and minimalist recyclable materials for packaging, maximizing resource utilization and reducing environmental impact. In this project, the team will focus on the content creativity and dissemination of Safone Xiaohongshu social media, as well as the preliminary market research and feasibility study of the brand's overseas expansion.

Fluffy LFB manager Tang Shanshan introduced that this is a lifestyle aesthetic brand based on ice cream. The cute cartoon IPs in the store are carefully designed by the team, incorporating the power of cuteness into the products. Each ice cream also has a unique color code, conveying the pursuit of a better life. FLUFFY LFB insists on producing high-quality ice cream products and has a trendy brand concept, which has also attracted fashion and trendy brands to collaborate. At present, the brand has two offline stores in Shanghai and hopes to focus on two issues in the ICP project: first, explore which type/scenario ice cream can be strongly associated with, form a linkage, and thus transform into one of the lifestyles of adults; Secondly, conduct research on the feasibility of brand expansion in the national market.

According to Yang Huizhong, the head of Hisense Group, Hisense was founded in 1969 and owns four listed companies in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, including Hisense, Toshiba TV, Ronshen, Gorenje, and ASKO. Hisense is achieving a magnificent transformation from a "home appliance company" to a "high-tech company". In this project, the team will explore together how to maintain relationships with users and customers to enhance business growth, and study the impact of the development of a new model of exchanging old appliances for new ones on Hisense's white goods sales.

Guo Weiwen, the head of Weekend Hotel, introduced that the Weekend Hotel Vacation APP is a "hotel vacation booking platform built on social e-commerce", which is used by 5 million Chinese family vacationers. It is a cost-effective feature product that focuses on "good hotels with special prices". At present, Weekend Hotel is also deeply involved in the design, construction, and operation of rural homestays. This project will take "Heyin Weekend" homestay as the research object, and conduct relevant user research around customer satisfaction surveys.

Subsequently, the project team students and corporate mentors engaged in free discussions within the group, either online or offline, to prepare for the subsequent project development.
