On the morning of June 21, the 2022 graduation ceremony of East China Normal University was held. AEBS students participated in this graduation ceremony through both online and offline means, bid farewell to their alma mater, and embarked on a new journey of life. Among them, Tong Guanming, a Taiwanese graduate from Asia Europe Business School, returned to attend the graduation ceremony. He expressed his gratefulness to his alma mater for overcoming all difficulties to hold a graduation ceremony for the graduates and draw a perfect end to the students’ life on the campus of ECNU.
At the graduation ceremony, Academician Qian Xuhong, President of East China Normal University, delivered a farewell speech with the theme Run with dreams; Great truths are always simple; Usher in a new epoch. President Qian pointed out that the baton of the history has been handed over to students nowadays. After taking over the baton of history, he hoped that students would understand the wisdom of learning from the past; He encouraged students to follow the principle of simplicity and nature, and conduct good deeds; Additionally, he hopes that students can join hands to integrate into the world and create a better future. At last, he blessed the students that the future is full of possibilities and he will be looking forward to the bright future of the students and their everlasting friendship with ECNU.
On the afternoon of June 26, the graduation ceremony of the 2022 Asia Europe Business School of East China Normal University was successfully held. All the staff, graduates and relatives, friends of ASEM Business School, and those who are concerned about the development of the school gathered online to witness the important moment for the students.
1. Lay Importance on Necessity
At the beginning of the ceremony, Professor He Jiaxun, a doctoral supervisor of East China Normal University, the Executive Dean of Shanghai International School of Chief Technology Officer (CTO School), and the Chinese Dean of Asia Europe Business School (AEBS), on behalf of all the faculty and staff of the college, expressed his gratitude for the beautiful memories created by the students and their tenacity during the epidemic, and warmly congratulated the 2022 graduates!
2. Encouragement, Wishes and Gratitude: Speech by the representatives of Chinese and French teachers and students
Subsequently, Assistant Professor Yang Feifei, academic director of the undergraduate BBA program of Asia Europe Business School, read the list of the bachelor’s degree recipients; Associate Professor Nikola Zivlak, Academic Director of BBA Program for Undergraduate Students and MIB Program for Graduate Students, read the list of Master’s degree recipients.
Next, Wu Yi, an assistant professor of AEBS, and Nikola Zivlak, an associate professor of Emlyon Business School, delivered speeches as the teacher representatives of the Chinese and French sides, followed by some other speeches delivered by five representatives of outstanding graduates and one representative of outstanding alumni of AEBS.
3. Award: Outstanding Graduates and Dissertations
Afterward, Professor He Jiaxun, the Chinese dean of AEBS, announced the list of recipients of AEBS Academy Awards, namely, AEBS Excellent Graduates and AEBS Excellent Dissertation Awards. He encouraged the students to follow the example of the winners and make persistent efforts to pursue greater achievements.
Finally, in the online group photo session, along with the broadcast of the blessing video of all teachers and students, all participants in the 2022 graduation ceremony of Asia Europe Business School switched on their cameras to take a group photo together. Meanwhile, the students attending the graduation ceremony bid farewell to teachers and their fellow students. So far, the graduation ceremony has come to a successful conclusion.
